    Notes
  • Stock is Rising
  • Stock was falling at before an excellent combine. Sporting News: "He followed up a solid Senior Bowl with a great combine workout, topped off with a 4.68 40-yard dash."
  • VB felt that New England, New Orleans, Denver, St. Louis and Kansas City showed the most interest in him in tryouts.
  • About.com has Vanden Bosch possibly going as high as the 16th pick in the draft to Pittsburgh. Other first round possibilities for Kyle include pick #20 and 29 (both St. Louis), and Denver at pick #24.
  • TFY Draft: Two players really stood out (at the NFL Combine), the first being Kyle Vanden Bosch. Vanden Bosch played like a man possessed, someone's whose hair was on fire (though he has a shaved head!). For starters he was so upset at his first two forty times he gave it a third try!! Most guys don't even want to run once and this guy ran it three times; well the third time was a charm and was his fastest, (some had 4.48 on their watches). Next in the shuttle run he looked as quick and nimble as many of the receivers we witnessed later in the day. As the dills started Vanden Bosch never went less than 100 MPH and showed great foot quickness, speed and at one point, when asked to drop off the line of scrimmage, literally looked like a defensive back with his backpedal. He does look a bit slight out there but that goes with the territory. Still, he really helped himself.
  • Lindy's 2001 NFL Preview: Must get stronger.. Works hard, his motor never stops and is inspirational player.. A situational type who doesn't handle run at all, surprising for a Cornhusker
