Huskers and the 2001 NFL Draft

<<2001 Draft

Bobby~Newcombe

Arizona Cardinals
Rnd 6, Pick 166
{profile}
Possible Rounds 3-6
Notes
  • Stock is Rising
  • Scouts were impressed by his route running and ability to catch errant passes. Nebraska's running offense didn't provide the scouts with much film on Newcombe so pre-draft workouts will dictate where he goes in the draft.
  • Lindy's 2001 NFL Preview: Great athlete, former QB.. Also will run back kicks, which might be his main duty as a rookie in Arizona.. Very dangerous on screens and dumoffs.. Raw at the position and comes from run-oriented attack
