- [Phillip Dillard] Dillard added to Senior Bowl
- The invite is a big jump for Dillard who had been slated to play in the also-ran Texas vs the Nation Game.
The NFL-backed Senior Bowl is unquestionably the top all-star game for college seniors (regardless of the prestigious history of the East-West Shrine Game). Dillard will join Larry Asante in Mobile (Suh declined an invitation). Center Jacob Hickman will play int he Texas vs the Nation game; no Huskers participated in last weekend's East-West Shrine Game.

- [Ndamukong Suh] Blog: Why Ndamukong Suh Is the Right Choice for the St. Louis Rams
...but another blog says the Rams can't afford him:
"So the Rams have the first pick in the coming draft, a roster that needs to be turned over, and a whole lot of work to do. Now they need a plan. With no franchise QB in the mix for that first pick and a market for a DT Ndamukong Suh this team may not be able to afford they should trade that pick down for more draft picks... That is the only way this team will get any better.
- 2010 NFL Scouting Combine invitees include four Huskers: S Larry Asante, LB Phillip Dillard, C Jake Hickman, and of course, DT Ndamukong Suh. DE Barry Turner and S Matt O'Hanlan were not included.
- [Wilson Thomas] Wilson Thomas is getting people pumped for the new year
- [Carl Nicks] Asked if the linemen might benefit the most because their job is so physical, Saints' guard Carl Nicks said, "I think rest helps everybody, from the run blockers to the kicker."
"If his leg isn't as tired as it was, he's going to kick better," Nicks said. "That's just everybody, even the coaches. I mean, they're still upstairs going over stuff. But that's three or four days of not yelling at us. So hey, they can get their lungs and their throat right." (NOLA)
