- [St. Louis Rams] NFL Rookie Reaction: Adam Carriker Audio
- [Tampa Bay Buccaneers] The Bucs signed undrafted Nebraska quarterback Zac Taylor, his agent said. Thomas Mills said Taylor, who threw for a school-record 5, 850 yards with 45 touchdowns and was 2006's Big 12 offensive player of the year, had other offers. But he chose Tampa Bay because of his comfort level with Jon Gruden's offense. Gruden and Nebraska coach Bill Callahan run similar offenses. "He feels he'll be able to step right in, " Mills said. - [Arizona Cardinals] One of the most important aspects of the camp was the camaraderie between the players, especially for the new guys coming in. Guys like defensive ends Rodney Bailey and Joe Tafoya, and cornerback Ralph Brown, who were just signed as camp began, made immediate impacts at their positions and with their teammates. With the amount of high-energy play needed on the defensive side of the ball, those guys were welcomed additions. (AZCardinals.com)

- [Denver Broncos] 'TheSportsGuru' of MileHighReport.com analyzed the linebackers on the Broncos roster, including TJ Hollowell:
Hollowell hasn't seen much action in his two seasons in the NFL. After a yesr with the Jets the Broncos signed him before the 2006 season. While inactive for every game in 2006, it is safe to say TJ will see action on special teams in 2007, especially if Green gets more action on the first team. Little should be expected from Hollowell in the immediate future.

- [Atlanta Falcons] There is hope among coaches at this point that massive free agent guard Toniu Fonoti could start at left guard. However, Fonoti has rarely played a full season because of injuries and weight issues. Whether he looks good or not at mini camp, expect the Falcons to address left guard in the draft. - [Pittsburgh Steelers] From Ryan Wilson of SteelCityInsider.com: In recounting why the Steelers suffered through an eight-win campaign in '06, I have failed to touch on a draft-eligible player who, four or five weeks ago, was my front runner for the 15th pick: Adam Carriker. The problem with Carriker isn't so much him -- it's that the club currently has Aaron Smith, Casey Hampton and Brett Keisel. But wait! As Jim Wexell explained last month, Keisel will get some reps at outside linebacker, and Carriker could be the bookend that compliments Aaron Smith nicely. It would also mitigate the need for a first-round outside linebacker, although if both Carriker and [Patrick] Willis are available at 1.15, I wouldn't know what to do (odds are, both will be gone).

- [NFL Draft] From Ed Thompson of ScoutNFLExperts.com: Nebraska defensive end Jay Moore told me during a recent phone interview that he's had one workout so far, and that was with the New England Patriots along with teammate Stewart Bradley.
Moore said that at the Combine, he felt he really connected with Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin, Saints head coach Sean Payton, and Chargers head coach Norv Turner. Watch for my interview with the talented Nebraska defensive end that will be published this week at Scout.com.
Speaking of Nebraska LB Stewart Bradley, I learned yesterday from an NFL source that he's got a visit lined up with San Diego this Monday and Tuesday (9th-10th) and that he completed a visit with the Ravens this past week. Baltimore is looking at him as a good candidate for the strongside linebacker position in their defense.
The 6-foot-4, 256-pound Bradley is a three-year starter at Nebraska, who valiantly rebounded from a torn ACL in 2005 to lead the Cornhuskers in solo tackles (75) during his senior year. (WOUWolves.com)
